For Swedish primary care

Draft clinical notes, sourced in the conversation.

Munra is an AI medical scribe for primary care in Sweden. After the visit it drafts the clinical note in Swedish, and every line points back to what was said, by whom and when. The clinician reviews, edits and signs.

How it works

The clinician leads the visit. Munra listens.

  • Two microphones help Munra tell the clinician and the patient apart, and the clinician confirms who said what. Munra runs in the web browser.
  • Munra keeps a verbatim Swedish transcript. When the recording stops, it drafts the note: history, examination, assessment and plan, from what was said.
  • Every line of the draft links to its source: the part of the transcript it came from, or the clinician's own written addition, marked as theirs. Mark a line to see what was said, by whom and when.
  • The clinician reviews, edits and signs. Nothing reaches the patient record without them: they copy the signed text into the record system they already use, formatted for Webdoc, Cosmic, TakeCare or PMO.
  • From the same conversation Munra drafts a plain-language summary for the patient (Vårdminnet) and referral and sick-leave drafts, each with its sources. Dictation between visits works too.

Plan

Amlodipin halveras, från 10 mg till 5 mg. Uppföljning om en månad.

Source in the conversation · Physician · 05:40

Så vi halverar amlodipinet, från 10 till 5 milligram. Vi ses om en månad och hör hur det känns.

In English, the line reads: "Amlodipine halved, from 10 mg to 5 mg. Follow-up in one month." The physician said: "So we halve the amlodipine, from 10 to 5 milligrams. We will see each other in a month and hear how it feels." From a role-played visit, with no real patient data.

Stage today

Pre-pilot, with synthetic data only.

The product is built and runs in production on Google Cloud. We develop and test it only with synthetic and role-played Swedish consultations, never with real patient data. Munra has no customers yet.

Munra is not CE-marked. Some functions, for example AI-suggested assessments, may fall under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR). Their status is being settled with regulatory experts before launch, and functions covered by the MDR will not be released without CE marking.

Security and data

Where the data goes today.

  • Munra runs on Google Cloud in Stockholm (europe-north2): Cloud Run, Cloud SQL and Cloud Storage. Transcripts and notes are stored there.
  • Munra does not store audio. Audio passes through Munra to transcription and is not saved.
  • Transcription and drafting are done today by third-party AI providers outside the EU (Soniox and OpenAI), with synthetic data only. All AI processing moves into the EU before any real patient data is used.
  • Sign-offs and edits are written to a cryptographically chained, append-only log, so a later change can be detected.
  • Login requires two-factor authentication: a password and a one-time code from an authenticator app.

Before the first real patient visit is recorded, we need among other things a data protection impact assessment (DPIA), the patient's explicit consent, legal and regulatory review, and all AI processing inside the EU. Säkerhet och data has the details in Swedish.

Munra AB, Sweden.

Munra AB, organisation number 559596-1698, registered in Sweden on 2026-08-03 (company registration and board). We are looking for private GP clinics in Sweden with 1–3 physicians that want to shape Munra from the start, testing with role-played visits first.
